Last weekend we were having crafting session at PassionArt @ Bras Basah. The participants will take a picture (see above) and come to our counter to make their own easel pop up card.
The above frame was made with lots of balloons and i just love the details of the mermaid and the many cute sea creatures. Overall it was a fun and enjoyable event!
I was given a space at PassionArt @ Boon Lay Park last saturday to showcase the workshops that I conduct in Ayer Rajah Community Club. We also show little children how to fold a heart shaped origami card which I learnt when I was a teenager from a origami book. It is a easy fun and easy card to make.

Last weekend we had a fun card making workshop with CSC’s members. This is such a great “wow” card that is easy to assemble and you can use this technique to make different kind of cards layout. Everyone at the workshop had a great time making this card.

I had a wonderful time last saturday sharing with a group of ladies from CSC how to create these lovely flower and making them into wearable pin for adults. I used to make these flowers for my hairbows that I am selling under the brand TLC Bowtique.

Today I had my usual crafting workshops with a group of boys and today’s theme was “Goals Settings”.
We talked about the “SMART Goals” which stands for : S = specific, M = measurable, A = achievable, R = relevant, T = time. The boys were ask to think about what their goals are and write them in a little journal that we were teaching them to make.
This is a very simple journal book that you can also make for yourself! Have you set your goals for this year yet? Maybe you can join me to create this little journal book for yourself or you can also use it as a little album.
I used the Carta Bella “So Noted” for my journal as the material of their patterned papers are nice & thick and makes a good cover for my journal.
Materials :
4″ x 6″ thick double-sided patterned paper for cover x 2 pcs
4″ x 6″ thick plain cardstock for inside pages x 9 pcs
4″ x 6″ double-sided patterned paper as divider x 2 pcs
4″ x 2 1/4″ plain or patterned paper as spine x 1 pc
Colourful Bakers Twine x 1 string
Method:
1. Arrange your journal signature to your liking.
2. Score a 1″ bind for all patterned paper and cardstock.
3. Score the spine at 3/4″ x 1 1/4″
4. Insert the cover and insert of the journal to the spine.
5. Punch 2 holes on the spine and use baker’s twine to bind the journal.
6. Add embellishment to cover and your journal is complete.

We were at the PA Market Place yesterday to showcase some of the art and craft workshops that we will be teaching at our local community clubs and resident centre.
I started sock doll making a year and a half ago for my children when I chanced upon a sock doll making book at the National Library and fell in love with it. It is so easy to do compare to the traditional bear making that I have been making for years and needed so little time to complete each doll.
They were so cute and easy to make, I started making them as gifts for my friends too and they started ordering them from me to give as gifts for their friends. Then I also started getting request for workshops on how to sew these cute cuddly dolls, so I started my first “Sew A Cat Sock Doll Workshop” last year in March and the respond was great.
This year I started my first Sock Doll Making Workshop last Saturday with a group of ladies from and we had a great sharing time and everyone completed their lovely sock doll by the end of the workshop. Here are some photos of the work in process and their finished product – their cute sock cat!
I have been busy making some pandora album using my Magnolia stamps for a shop @ Lot 1 shopping for their Valentine’s Day promotion.
I also conducted a Pandora Album Workshop to a group of boys so they can make a special album for someone special. During the workshop we also share with them how Valentine’s Day come about and what it meant and to be responsible. Overall it was a good workshop and every boy finished their album within 2 hours.
Coptic book binding is one of the oldest traditional book binding method which was used by the christians known as Copts. This method of binding does not need any gluing and the spine is left open and the book can be lay flat when turning the pages.
I conduct this workshop at my place last weekend for a group of adults. Despite the heavy downpour I was glad most of them turn up for this workshop. It was great being able to share this skill with fellow crafting lover. Here are some of their finishing products.
Last weekend we were at the head office of Civil Service Centre to conduct our first basic scrapbooking workshop for the year.
For this workshop we used our Racial Harmony Scrapbook kit to create a simple scallop album. Acrylic paint was used to paint the background to form a little garden and skyline and patterned paper were torn to triangle and square shapes to form a little house.
We are glad everyone had a great time finishing the album! Here are some of the layout to share with you!
